— Roger Bower, Proprietor
Our wines reflect the place and the people behind them, the passion they have for the process, and the commitment made to unrelenting quality.
Roger Bower is the owner and visionary behind Crown Point. It is his commitment to the land that has elevated Crown Point to its place of distinction. An entrepreneur and rancher from Texas, Roger formed a deep understanding of what it means to be a steward of the land. He saw the potential of Happy Canyon and purchased Crown Point in 2012. An avid horseback rider, Roger often rides among the vines. Roger has made Crown Point his home and is focused on his vision for the property, its vineyards and the art of winemaking.
A Kentucky native, Adam Henkel came to Crown Point in April of 2013 after eight vintages as an integral part of the winemaking team at Harlan Estate in the Napa Valley. At Crown Point, Adam has spent the past three years involved in winery design, vineyard development, and implementing standards of quality in the winery that reflect both his pedigree as well as his respect for the estate.
Adam lives in Santa Ynez with his wife and four children.
