Tasted as a barrel sample the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 26 months in new French oak. It offers a slightly purer bouquet of crème de cassis, lead pencil shavings, violets, and classy oak. As with the Estate Selection, it's deep, beautifully concentrated, and pure, with rocking tannin quality and a big finish. It's certainly going to be up with the finest Cabernet Sauvignons to ever come out of Santa Barbara County.
